     Gyulyara is an award-winning Azerbaijani director who currently resides in London. 
 
     Gyulyara graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University, Television and Radio Department in 2013, an Advertising Academy Wordshop in 2014 and completed her Master Degree in Film Directing at the Met Film School in London in 2017. 
 
     Gyulyara’s first amateur short film “Gone Hopes”, which she co-wrote, co-directed, acted in and edited gained more than 1 million viewers on YouTube in just a couple of weeks in 2011. Since that moment, being a film director has been her passion in life.
 
     With her second independent short film “October, 20” Gyulyara entered “Moscow Zoom” 24hr film competition, and won “Best Director” award. Following on from this, Gyulya released a documentary film, “Online means I exist", in 2013 and a fiction short, “Confession", in 2014.
 
     Her master project, short film “Trust Me", devoted to victims of the 2015 terror attacks in Paris, was screened across various film festivals in London, Sydney and Moscow, earning  a nomination for “Best Director” by the British Independent Film Festival (2017), alongside feature film directors, and was awarded “Best Director” by Moscow’s Cinegate Aurora Film Awards (2018).
 
     Gyulya’s latest independent short, “Escort" (2020), a thriller centred around the exploits sadistic protagonist, has just completed successfully festival journey with more than 10 official selections around the world, including nomination “Best Director” at the Unrestricted View Film Festival (2020) and “Best Horror Film'' Award at the Russian International Horror Film Awards. The film has also qualified for BAFTA entry.
 
     At the moment she works on her first feature film “Medina” about women rights in muslim countries.
